The idea behind the title: The title refers to the lines on the legs of female figures.
Series: This work belongs to a series of paintings (see Too Many Colours) intended for an exhibition that will be held in Ljubljana in June 2024. In this painting, I created a colour contrast based on indigo blue (violet) to contrast the previous paintings.
What to see: “… The palaces surrounding the Square prevent me from seeing the sea waves lapping against the shore, but the breeze and smell from the small port not far away do not allow me to forget that I am on an island in the middle of the bay. I can recognize the silhouettes of people and birds. Human speech and the raspy voices of birds override each other. The eruption of the immense pallet of colours gives me a soothing feeling of everyday Mediterranean life.”
Comment: According to my understanding, this work has the characteristics of an abstract painting. Images in my works play the same role as abstract elements, they are subordinated exclusively to the requirements of the painting.
